François William Croteau completed his undergraduate studies at the Université de Montréal in history, art history and sociology. He continued his studies at ESG-UQÀM where he obtained an Executive MBA degree in 2007, as well as a doctorate of Urban Studies in 2017 on the theme of urban governance in Montreal and stakeholder management. At a young age, he stands out for his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit.
After completing his undergraduate studies, he was a manager for nearly 10 years in the public and private sector, leading cutting-edge projects in change management and innovation in organizational processes. He is also a lecturer at the ESG-UQÀM in 2009 in the executive MBA program. Mayor of Rosemont La Petite-Patrie since 2009, he made his mark through his innovative policies focused on the ecological transition, resilient urban development and citizen engagement.
Since 2017, he is a member of Montréal's executive committee responsible for Smart City planning, IT, Innovation and Higher Education. He stands out for his policy work on the ethical governance of data, the digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
